Workers Rights

Kam proudly co-sponsored legislation to raise Illinois' minimum wage. The importance of workers being able to bring home a living wage is of the utmost importance. Higher wages helps create jobs and grows the economy.

We have to address wage inequality in a direct and intentional way. A job is more than a paycheck, it is indeed dignity.

Protecting worker's right to organize is paramount. Collective bargaining allows workers to have a say so in their working conditions and creates more equitable work environments
