Hoeven Announces More Than $3 Million in COVID-19 Funding for North Dakota Tribal Colleges

Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee and Chairman of the Indian Affairs Committee, today announced that the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) has awarded funding to tribal colleges and universities in North Dakota to help with impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. Details are as follows:

Turtle Mountain Community College -- $1,157,310
United Tribes Technical College -- $844,160
Sitting Bull College -- $535,390
Nueta Hidatsa Sahnish College -- $270,040
Cankdeska Cikana Community College -- $250,760

"These funds will help tribal colleges in North Dakota assist their students during this public health emergency," said Hoeven.
