Congressman Kelly Armstrong released the following statement following his vote in favor of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement Implementation Act (H.R. 5430):
"USMCA is the biggest trade victory for our country in a generation. This agreement brings our trading relationship with Canada and Mexico -- North Dakota's two largest trading partners -- into the 21st century. This deal will benefit North Dakota farmers, manufacturers, consumers, and businesses of all sizes. With USMCA, our businesses will be on a level playing field with their counterparts in Canada and Mexico and I'm confident that when given the chance to fairly compete, they will win every time."
Armstrong is serving his first term representing the state of North Dakota in the U.S. House of Representatives. He sits on the House Judiciary Committee, the House Oversight and Reform Committee, and the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis.
