U.S. Representative Ted Budd (R-NC) released the following statement after introducing the CTE Outcome Data Enhament (CODE) Act of 2019 with Rep. Dan Bishop (R-NC):

"Apprenticeships play an integral role in preparing the next generation of American workers. With more job openings than job seekers for the first time in our country's history, it's imperative that there are high salary, low-debt learning opportunities available to students from all backgrounds."

"Currently, there are few ways to measure academic outcomes and participation in Career and Technical Education Programs. That's why I introduced legislation that would direct the Secretaries of Education and Labor to establish a task force to explore ways to improve data collection on apprenticeships and look for gaps that need to be filled," said Rep. Budd.

"I introduced the CODE Act with a singular goal in mind: to improve the quality of apprenticeship programs for every student across the country," Budd said.
