The unemployment rate in Mississippi is the lowest it has been in decades. One of the most interesting features of our district are the numerous corporate citizens in and around District 48 who serve a variety of commercial sectors. We must work to ensure the businesses continue to grow and thrive so there are good, well-paying jobs available. Helping these businesses continue their success, and working to bring new businesses to the area, will help us attract and retain the best and brightest Mississippi has to offer.
