U.S. Representative Ted Budd (R-NC) released the following statement after introducing H.R. 3768, the Unlocking Capital for Small Businesses Act of 2019.

"Financial professionals and main street business people who facilitate securities transactions deserve an updated and 21st century regulatory regime. That's why I introduced legislation this week that creates two new safe harbors within the Securities and Exchange Act to better facilitate capital formation and strengthen our economy. Providing updated definitions and safe harbor for 'finder's' and 'private placement brokers' strikes me as a common sense idea that benefits main street and compliments the historic economic growth seen under President Trump and the Republican Congress well. I hope my colleagues will join me in this effort."
