Lujan Statement on Bipartisan Budget Agreement

U.S. House Assistant Speaker Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) issued the following statement on the bipartisan budget caps and the debt limit agreement:

"The American people elected a Democratic majority in the House to put an end to government dysfunction and uncertainty. This bipartisan budget caps and debt limit agreement is one of the many ways we're living up to our commitments to invest in our communities and national security. I support this deal as it ends the threat of the sequester and will increase the resources available for working women and men in New Mexico. The robust funding secured for domestic priorities will allow for meaningful advancements in our communities and support the ongoing fight to combat poverty and expand opportunities for all."
