Senate Confirms Barr as Attorney General

Today, Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) released this statement on the confirmation of William Barr as Attorney General of the United States. Barr was confirmed by a vote of 54-45.

"Today is a great day for the Department of Justice with the confirmation of William Barr to be the next Attorney General.

"He is a steady hand at a time of turmoil and he will bring much needed reform to the Department of Justice. I look forward to working with Mr. Barr on the many issues facing the men and women of the Department of Justice and our nation as a whole.

"An outstanding choice by President Trump," Graham said.
