Issues: Taxes Housing and Property
As a CPA, business owner and property owner I have first-hand knowledge of how complicated Montana's tax structure is. Montana's tax policy needs to be fair and equitable. As a member of the House Taxation Committee I have opposed hundred of millions of dollars in tax increases and supported rights for taxpayers. Property tax assessment in Montana has been inconsistent and during the 2019 session I will be working on legislation to provide fair and equal assessments for property taxes.
