Vermont's fisheries, biodiversity, wildlife habitat, wetlands, agricultural soils, forests are supported by her strong environmental ethic. Ginny passed laws that keep mercury, lead, toxic plastic chemicals, oil, and other chemicals from polluting the landscape and harming people, plants and animals. Ginny's recent laws in this area include Phthalate, lead, mercury, BPA, toxic chemicals, and phosphorus removal from consumer products. In addition Senator Lyons sponsored and passed a comprehensive electronic waste and comprehensive recycling laws.
