Issue Position: Conowingo Dam

Issue Position

A very significant amount of pollution and debris in the Chesapeake Bay comes from New York and Pennsylvania via the Susquehanna River. The Conowingo dam needs to be dredged in order for that pollution to be reduced. The managers of the Conowingo Dam need to do a better job of removing debris from the Dam before the debris comes through and becomes hazardous in the Chesapeake Bay. I am and will continue to be an environmental steward of our lands and waterways. I support environmental legislation that is cost efficient, quantifiable and measurable.
