Issue Position: Medicaid Expansion

Medicaid expansion provides very important efficiencies in healthcare, I want to create a path for inexpensive preventive care instead of expensive crisis care. Insured kids should not have to watch their uninsured parents suffer. Medicaid expansion maintains healthy caregivers and helps small business and their employees focus on their business, not their health costs. The expansion would protect the 1 in 7 women who experience postpartum depression by extending their care and it prevents uncompensated hospital care from increasing.
