As the son of immigrants, Charles saw the American dream unfold before his eyes. His parents came here from West Africa--his dad began as a cab driver, his mom worked in Burger King. Today his father is a proud business owner and his mother is the CFO of a bank. As Assemblyman he promises to support:

The NYS DREAM Act, eliminating hurdles for undocumented youth to get their higher degrees

The NYS Liberty Act, adding safeguards for undocumented immigrants

Advocate for funding across the district for legal services to focus on immigration issues
