Issue Position

Government should be small and non-intrusive. The smaller the bureaucracy, the more freedom we enjoy. Government should be sufficient enough in size to provide an education to our youth, develop infrastructure, ensure security, and protect liberty, while not being excessive. Thomas Jefferson once said, "The natural history of a democracy is for government to grow and freedom to yield." So, we should be very weary of growing government.
