Dr. Roberts believes that teachers and service personnel should receive priority care as one of West Virginia's most valuable resources.
Dr. Roberts also supports Educational Savings Accounts (ESA) to give parents a choice where to spend their tax dollars and get a head start in saving for college. West Virginia is one of only four states that does not have some form of school choice available to parents.
Research shows that when parents are empowered to choose the education environments that they believe work best for their kids, students are more likely to succeed and graduate from high school.
