Issue Position

As a former high school government teacher, I know what it takes to make fixes in the classroom. I base education policy on "best practices" -- what has been shown to garner results in our classrooms. From personal experience, I know that meaningful vocational education helps students who are entering the job market and students who go on to college. Job readiness is important student success and supporting teachers who are on the front lines of educating Alaska's students every day should be one of our top priorities.
