Shevrin believes that every man and woman has the right to protect themselves and their families, and he supports the 2nd Amendment for those who are licensed to carry. However, Shevrin believes that the NRA (National Rifle Association) has poisoned the legislature, and lead many to believe that guns used for war should be in the hands of civilians. Shev will continue to fight to ensure that war weapons, such as semi-automatic rifles, be kept off our streets, to protect our children and communities and to bring a stop to the bloodshed in our streets.

SHEVRIN JONES WILL CONTINUE TO:
* Fight to repeal SYG (Stand Your Ground).
* Work with the gun lobby to get certain guns off our streets.
* Vote against any legislation that allows guns to be carried on or in: college campuses, court rooms, and churches.
* Work with local community leaders to look at national studies on how to clean our streets of illegal guns in the hands of criminals.
