Lisa has a proven track record advocating for campaign finance reform and the right to vote. As Executive Director of United Wisconsin, she has fought policies such as Voter ID and reduced absentee voting hours while advocating for progressive reforms like on-line voter registration to expand ballot access. Lisa has worked for campaign finance reform and has been a leader in the movement to overturn Citizens United and get big special interest money out of politics. She has worked directly with state legislators to introduce and advance voting rights and campaign finance reform legislation. On the City Council, Lisa also successfully introduced and passed an ordinance to expand campaign finance disclosure, protecting the public's right to know who is paying to influence our elections. As your State Representative, Lisa has fought to ensure every eligible voter has the opportunity to exercise their right to vote, for fair non-partisan redistricting reform, and to pass reforms to increase fairness and transparency in our elections and campaign finance system. Lisa authored bills to reform our campaign finance system and to move toward reversing Citizens United, which opened the floodgates to unlimited corporate spending to influence our elections.
