Issue Position

Quality, affordable care and early education is crucial to social and cognitive development in children. The growing problems of rising costs, stagnant wages for childcare workers, and underfunded classrooms and facilities present issues that need to be addressed for the health of our people and our local economy. As your State Senator, Julie will work to make sure every family has access to quality childcare, enabling women who carry major care-giving responsibilities a greater opportunity to work outside of the home, and encouraging children to thrive.
