Issue Position

Every resident of our district deserves to live in a safe community free from violence and criminal activity. Tizzy believes we must address the root causes of crime, rather than try to incarcerate our way out of the problem, which has failed in recent decades. Tizzy's public safety focus includes:

Reducing criminality and the rate of recidivism with effective social programs, including improved community-based enrichment and vocational opportunities for youth both in and out of school
Fully implemented community policing
Addressing the flow of illegal firearms to our neighborhoods
Criminal justice reform based on proven best practices
Protecting Delaware's immigrant and refugee populations
