Schakowsky Statement on Synagogue Shooting in Pittsburgh

Statement

Date: Oct. 27, 2018
Location: Unk

Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky released the following statement on the mass shooting at a synagogue in Pittsburgh:

"As a Jewish woman, as an American, and as a peace-loving human being, I am horrified by the terrorist attack that took place at a synagogue in Pittsburgh during Shabbat services today. I join the entire nation in mourning with the Tree of Life congregation and the city of Pittsburgh.

"Gun violence and anti-Semitism tore through a place of worship today and shook a nation. Both must be addressed with meaningful action. We cannot allow this terrorism to intimidate us. As we mourn and rebuild, we must work to ensure that mass shootings and violent acts of hatred become a thing of the past in America."
