Did you know that if it were its own country (again), Texas would have the 10th largest economy in the world? As Chairman of the Senate Business and Commerce Committee, Kelly works to ensure a fair economic playing field, tear down barriers to entry, and enhance competitive free markets. He believes the government should stay out of the way of the innovators, entrepreneurs, and hard-working taxpayers who drive our economy and create new jobs. In 2017, he passed legislation to deregulate more than 15,000 occupational licensees.
