Issue Position

Whether it's raising money for the Friends of the NRA or holding his own clay shoot fundraiser at Black Wing Shooting Center, Andrew Brenner has been defending and supporting the 2nd Amendment for years -- not just claiming it as an issue when running for office. Brenner is a member of the NRA and is a former chairman of the Delaware County Friends of the NRA.

Andrew Brenner promised that, as a State Representative, he would defend and support the 2nd Amendment. He has kept that promise. Here are just a few of the highlights:

In this General Assembly (the 132nd) alone, Brenner is a co-sponsor on pro-2A bills including by not limited to: HB 132 (LEO repeal), HB 201 (constitutional carry), HB 228 (conceal carry modernization), HB 233 (conceal carry fix)
Brenner is a supporter of and has voted for conceal carry bills
In the 131st, 130th and 129th General Assemblies, Brenner supported and voted for legislation that supports gun rights
Right to Keep and Bear Arms

Brenner understands that the 2nd Amendment to the United States Constitution is not just about owning a gun to be able to go hunt, or to have a 9mm in your home in the case of an intruder. Recently, the Supreme Court of the United States struck down two laws that nearly prohibited individuals from owning guns in Washington, D.C. and Chicago. As your State Senator, Brenner will continue to introduce, support and fight for legislation that defends the supports gun rights. Other candidates may have similar beliefs, but Brenner is the only Republican candidate in this race with an actual record of voting for legislation that defends and supports the 2nd Amendment here in Ohio.
