Affordable, quality health care is an essential part of anyone's success. Providing preventive health care is the responsible, ethical, and cost effective way to treat people, instead of sending folks without health care coverage to an emergency room, where tax payers are more likely to foot the bill. Idaho has continued to struggle to provide options for our citizens; we have left over 78,000 Idahoans in the Health Coverage Gap for too long. After the 2018 legislative session when H464 (Idaho's Health Care Plan) was sent back to committee, letting GOP legislators off the hook from going on the record with a vote, a group of determined citizens organized a campaign to get this issue on the ballot, so the voters can make decisions about Medicaid. We must work together to find creative solutions to provide options for quality health care for all our citizens. I am committed to continuing the fight for affordable and high quality health care for everyone!
