Delivered record state funding for education -- every budget Rosemary has supported included more for education while being mindful of the needed balance between taxing and spending.
Secured $60 million in new School Safety Grants to help school districts implement the best school safety measures for their area, and is the prime sponsor of legislation to install metal detectors in schools.
Passed a bipartisan school funding formula that ensures new money towards education from the state is more fairly distributed to local schools in Monroe and Pike Counties.
Support a focus on fundamental skills in math, reading, science, and technology instead of focusing so heavily on standardized tests.
Prepare children with everyday, real-life financial literacy skills they will need to live in the real-world; Rosemary's legislation passed the House and is awaiting action in the Senate.
Promote technology to enhance student learning and provide greater access to educational opportunities not available at every school.
Support vocational and skills-based education that provides needed skills (at a lower cost) to obtain good-paying jobs that provide for lifelong success for all types of students.
