Pat has worked closely with local leaders of both parties to improve our community. He has worked hard to secure funding for projects important to our area like flood control projects in Uniontown, Meyersdale and Connellsville and recreational projects like the Sheepskin Trail and community parks in North Belle Vernon and Franklin Townships.
Pat has also worked to improve our environment securing funding for stream restoration and runoff projects. As a member of the Mine Reclamation Advisory Board he has worked throughout the commonwealth on restoring streams damaged by the early years of coal development.
Pat has also focused on the issue of blight. Every community Pat has visited in the 32nd District is dealing with blight. Pat has secured funding to remediate blight and has introduced landmark legislation to allow redevelopment authorities function as land banks(SB667). Land banks have shown remarkable effectiveness in solving blight but are cost prohibitive in smaller communities and counties. Pat's legislation will reduce redundancy and help eliminate blight in our region.
