Having served as the assistant ranking on the House Healthcare & Wellness Committee has given me a strong understanding of our healthcare system in Washington State. I meet regularly with major healthcare providers, insurance carriers, and ordinary citizens concerned about their health coverage.
We need to bring back adequate mental health and disability services into our local community. Local care means both community and family support to these individuals at a time when they need it the most. These services are also critical to our homeless population as we strive to help those individuals get back on their feet and back into the workforce
