As a leading voice in Congress against illegal immigration, I've earned an A rating from NumbersUSA and the Federation for American Immigration Reform. I was a leader in the fight against the "Gang of 8" amnesty bill and fought to get a wall erected along the US-Mexican border. A nation with open borders is not a nation and American citizenship is a privilege, not a right. For too long we've left our borders open resulting in increased crime including murder, human trafficking, drugs, and even terrorism, while inflicting economic pain on working Americans whose wages have not kept up with inflation due to cheap illegal labor.
