Congressman Kevin Cramer issued the following statement on the confirmation of Mike Pompeo as U.S. Secretary of State:

"I am pleased the Senate confirmed Mike as the next Secretary of State. He takes over this important agency at a critical time. Instability and conflict around the globe requires strong leaders like Mike Pompeo, who will protect and advance America's interests. With his depth of knowledge and experience, I am confident Mike's tenure will be marked with excellence and integrity. I congratulate Mike on his confirmation and look forward to working with him and his team at the State Department."
