"I join the nation in honoring Chief Justice Rehnquist for a lifetime of public service, including 33 years on the Supreme Court. Wisconsinites were rightly proud of this native son when he was promoted to the position of Chief Justice, the highest judicial post in the land. I offer my deepest condolences to his family."
