Gianforte Statement on the New Farm Bill

Montana Congressman Greg Gianforte provided the following statement after the House Agriculture Committee released the new Farm Bill:

"I'm really encouraged with what I'm seeing in the new Farm Bill, particularly with Montana's fingerprints on it. The new Farm Bill provides greater certainty for our ag producers, maintains a strong safety net for our farmers, includes much needed regulatory relief, and improves how we manage our forests.

"The Farm Bill also reforms SNAP to require able-bodied adults to work for benefits while also ensuring it helps those who need it most.

"I look forward to discussing the new Farm Bill with my Agriculture Advisory Committee in the coming days.

"And I will continue working with Montana's farmers, ranchers, ag businesses, and industry leaders to make sure the Farm Bill works for Montana."
