Duffy Statement on the STOP School Violence Act

Statement

Date: March 14, 2018
Location: Washington, DC

Wisconsin Congressman Sean Duffy, Chairman of the Financial Services Subcommittee on Housing & Insurance, released the following statement after the House Passed the STOP School Violence Act:

"I'm proud to cosponsor the STOP School Violence Act because it's an important, commonsense step to secure our schools. This legislation will provide a multi-layered approach to identify threats and prevent violence. There is still more that our society must do to protect our kids, however. As a society, we must take a hard, honest look at what's causing our kids to become angry and violent, including overmedication and violence in Hollywood. I will continue to work with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to address this issue."
