Congressman Trent Franks was the author of the Seniors Financial Security Act which is a commonsense proposal to end the practice of taxing social security income. Much as the estate tax is a tax on earnings you've already paid taxes on, being taxed on your Social Security benefits is another double tax, and it should be ended.
