U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) released the following statement today after Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards announced she will step down from her position later this year.

"Cecile Richards has been a fearless advocate for millions of Americans," said Blumenthal. "She is a beacon of hope and strength in the face of relentless attacks on our values and personal freedoms.
