U.S. Representative Ted Budd (R-NC) voted in favor of H.R. 36, the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. The legislation restricts abortions after 20 weeks, with the exception of rape, incest and life of the mother.
"As lawmakers, it's our responsibility to fight for those who don't have a voice," Rep. Budd said. "Right now, America is one of only seven countries in the world that have legalized late-term elective abortion after 5 months, putting us on the same list as North Korea, China and Vietnam. This bill is a strong step in the fight to protect the unborn."
