"On this somber day, Vicki and I remember the generations of American heroes who have laid down their lives in service to our country, including those who never made it home. We are mindful of the Gold Star families they left behind - many of whom are our neighbors, friends, family, and people we cross paths with every day. Join us today in honoring those in our communities who have given us so much so we can live in this free land."
