Today, Rep. Todd Rokita released the following statement on the House passage of S. 2943, the Conference Report to accompany the 2017 National Defense Authorization Act.

"Today's passage of this bill is a win for the safety and security of all Americans, and a win for those who put their lives on the line to protect this exceptional nation. By increasing funding to equip our troops with cutting-edge technology and providing our troops with the largest pay raise in six years, we are ensuring that America's soldiers not only have the tools they need to protect our way of life, but that they are appropriately compensated for all that they do. This bill provides all of this in a fiscally responsible way, without worsening one of the biggest threats to our nation: our growing national debt."
