Issue Position: Globalization & Free Trade

A trade deal is uniquely negotiable every time. The totality of circumstance should be carefully considered and American posture on every trade deal should focus on one thing and one thing only: putting America first. American interests should be paramount in every single trade agreement. The proposed TPP is basically a massive transfer of American wealth to other Pacific Rim nations. I'm against it, as I am against NAFTA which came before it. Massive, complex trade deals, like TPP, tread on our national sovereignty and our Republic. They always favor multi-national corporations over American based corporations and the citizens of America always suffer a net loss. Additionally, I support Trump's promise to leverage China… and Mexico, and Russia, and every other sovereign nation which benefits from American wealth created by the sweat of our brow. America must win again, every time, in every way, in every trade negotiation. When America wins…ultimately… the world wins.
