Issue Position

Rob served as the Chair of the Speaker's Task Force on Rural Schools during the 2013-2014 legislative session. During that time, the task force recommended several ideas to help bring much needed aid to rural schools. Rob has continued to be a champion for rural schools as many of those recommendations were approved during the 2015-2017 biennial budget process.

*Whole grade sharing which allows school districts to share certain grades without consolidation
*Increase funding for high cost transportation aid
*Increase funding for sparsity aid
*Allow flexibility in teacher licensing
