Issue Position

Thomas is a veteran and has lived first hand through the difficulties of transitioning to civilian employment. Luckily we live in an era where service to our great country is looked highly upon. Despite the best intentions and efforts of employers, the knowledge, skills and abilities of veterans are regularly undervalued. All too often veterans are told that their prior work experience is not "relevant," and as a consequence they are all too often underpaid or not hired. Thomas will make it a priority to ensure veterans have a voice and make Michigan a leader addressing veteran employment.
