Issue Position

Our ability to move around Southwest Washington and get in and out of Oregon quickly is key to our economy and key to families in Clark County. I am committed to advocating to replace the I-5 bridge and support a light rail ready bridge that will help Clark County residents commute and travel from Vancouver to Portland and back easily and conveniently.

I am excited to support this project because of it's potential to ease traffic congestion, create family wage jobs and strengthen our economy. In general, we have work to do in Washington to strengthen our transportation infrastructure. We have hundreds of roads and bridges that are long overdue for repair. My goal will be to strengthen this infrastructure while balancing our investments between roads and transit including support for bicyclists and pedestrians.
