Standing Up for Those Who Are Ready to Sacrifice for Us.

We owe a great debt to our nation's veterans, as well as to their husbands and wives, their children, and those they've left behind by making the ultimate sacrifice to protect our country. They're true heroes who bravely stand between us and those who would harm us and take away our freedoms.

As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, I am working closely with the Department of Defense and the Department of Veterans' Affairs to ensure that TRICARE, our nation's military healthcare system, provides the very best care possible.

And as someone who proudly served six years as a physician in the U.S. Navy, I have a strong personal appreciation for the sacrifices of all veterans who chose to answer the call to serve the cause of freedom.
