Issue Position

Like most people, I believe the Federal government must protect the citizens of these United States. In order to do so, I also believe securing our borders, while retaining the right to refuse to accept refugees that have not been completely vetted, is where we begin. Immigrants should willingly learn our legal system, work to improve themselves and their fellow man. They need to go by the example of our past immigrants, men and women, who came here to create a better life, not be given one.
The president and his party are working overtime to bring more and more unvetted refugees to America. Nashville, TN is a Sanctuary City, and it's just a matter of time before these people cause harm to people in our community. The president has no interest in vetting these people; and, therefore, I believe put not only our national security at severe risks, but it's putting our local communities at risk. We must protect ourselves now to prevent an incident similar to 911 or the Paris attacks from occurring in our community!
