Issue Position

We should educate our children with the truth and the values that our founding fathers followed as a guide to establish America. They believed in God and that government could not function properly without God's spiritual guidance. Let's fight against common core, something I also believe does not belong in our education system. I personally support local control of education. With your help, we can work to support and empower parents, teachers, local school boards, and principals. I believe the majority believe that the Tennessee Board of Education and local school boards are fully capable of making decisions concerning education.
We must carefully and diligently review and revise our current education materials and the sources providing them. The Federal and State government should support education, but all of the decision should be made by citizens in the community. These materials, whether online or in a textbook, should be done by Tennesseans!
