Issue Position

As the Vice Chairman of the Affordable Energy and Jobs Committee, I have a unique opportunity to be on the frontlines fighting for expanded broadband access in rural Minnesota. Over the last two years, we passed $45 million in new funding for broadband, more than double the amount allocated over the previous two years. In total, Minnesota is expected to see more than $120 million in broadband funding in 2017 alone when you include federal and private investments.

This is an issue I will continue to work on until every community in Kandiyohi County has access to broadband.
