Issue Position

I believe that if someone has some vested interest in something, then they are more apt to appreciate it. For example, if everyone pays something in taxes, then they should have more appreciation for budgeting of tax dollars. I believe that a low, broad tax base incentivizes economic growth while ensuring that there are no free rides for the politically chosen few. I co-sponsored the largest tax cut in Tennessee history.
