I am proud to report that my bill to combat the state's rising opioid and heroin abuse epidemic is headed to the Governor to be signed into law. In 2014 alone, there were 6,232,532 opioid prescriptions dispensed in the state. These rates call for all-hands-on-deck to fight this epidemic. This bill, which expands access to the Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP), will have far-reaching health and safety benefits across Washington State.
