My opponent votes to override Nikki Haley's budget vetoes more than any other Republican in Spartanburg County. In part for this reason, he currently has an "F" rating from the Club for Growth. I would seek to cut wasteful spending in state government, fully fund the Local Government Fund, and oppose new taxes. I would vote against any proposed budget that does not significantly curb South Carolina's dependence on the Federal dole, which currently provides over a third of annual state money.
