Cory supports federal lands returning to Utah ownership combined with responsible stewardship over those lands. He voted in favor of the two federal land resolutions in 2017 that lead to the reduction by President Trump of Obama's land grab at Bear's Ears and Clinton's land grab at Escalante. This was a welcome action by President Trump, but most of those lands still remain in control of the federal Bureau of Land Management. Acquisition of the public lands will have great and positive impact on our State and for its citizens. The public lands rightly belong to the state.​
