Issue Position

I have been married for 22 years to an educator. I have seen firsthand the impact a quality education has in allowing those with determination to break the cycle of poverty and improve their circumstances. I have also seen what a poor education does to impede progress.

In Santa Fe I will continue to work with other legislators to improve education standards for our youth, our young adults and anyone seeking vocational training, including workers who want a career change and need to further their education to take advantage of new opportunities.

For Gallup to be successful, we must be prepared to achieve and master whatever prospects are available. Education is key to this preparation, and I will ensure that Gallup and other communities in the Senate District 4 have the programs that allow people to grow, progress and achieve their goals in education.
